Spring cleaning – update 2

How is your spring cleaning coming along? My kitchen, entries and bathrooms are finished. As I sit here in my kitchen, I look around and it doesn’t look like it – kids crafts and lunch on the island and the table. However, I’m trying not to stress. Those little messes can be cleaned up in 5 minutes. My daughter is helping with the spring cleaning of her room. She does not like to throw anything away, so her room is always a challenge. This year, she is actually seeing the big picture and sees the need for some de-cluttering and organization. She wants to re-decorate her room for her birthday this year. It seems that Tinkerbell is no longer cool for an 8 year old. We told her that we cannot do anything with a cluttered, dirty room. So, there’s a little bit of motivation for her. She is doing a good job with the de-cluttering so far. When that is done, we can clean. I really need to take some before and after pictures.
The glorious sunshine has given me inspiration to clean the windows and blinds. When the light shines through I can see the film and finger prints on them! Yikes! I love to open the windows this time of year, even if it is a little chilly outside. But, when I pull up the blinds, the dust flies!!

This week’s spring cleaning goal is my bathroom. We have a large bathroom that has become the place I put things to hide from company. Although my path seems disjointed, I’m moving from the most messiest to the least messiest. This may mean that my bookshelves may not be Spring cleaned until May – so be it.
UGH! I haven’t started yet…Is it really that time??
