Menu Plan Monday – April 6, 2009
April 6, 2009 by Marci

Welcome to Monday! What are you planning on feeding your family this week? If you haven’t got a clue, Menu Plan Mondays are here to help! Each week, I post my menu plan for the week and I, also, give you the link for more participants in Menu Plan Monday. Think of it as your personal cookbook and meal planner. Here is what I plan on feeding my family for dinner this week (in no particular order).
Rotini Alfredo, salad, Italian bread
Tortilla Casserole, chips, salsa, guacomole
Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, sauted green beans and onions
Potato, bacom, egg and veggie skillet
Lots of leftovers
Meal planning is easy. Simply choose what you want to eat. Write down the ingredients. Go to the store and just get what’s on thelist. It’s a once a week task for me. It keeps me from reverting to the same-old-same-old. I like cooking at least one new dish per week. I want to prepare healthy food. I want my kids to always try new foods and not be afraid of them. Menu planning helps me achieve all these. Happy eating!

what a great menu!! looks tasty!!
Thanks for simply explaining the concept of meal planning. This is another one of my weaknesses. But, your point about planning keeps your from being too repetitive is a point taken. When I return from Spring-break vacation, I will strive to make a meal plan. Thanks for being so encouraging.
