How did God bless you this week?

It’s hard to believe another week has gone by.  Our summer has been very peaceful and kind of lazy.  As I meander through these months, its easy for me to sometimes take this peacefulness for granted.  I strive everyday to get the busyness out of our lives and focus on what is really important.  I need to be mindful that “I” cannot do this alone.  I can have the best intentions, make the best plans, even learn to say “no”, but without God and his peace that passes understanding, it would all be for naught.

I like that Chele at Proverbs 31 Homekeeper started a feature called Friday’s Blessings.  It is a great reminder to look back on the week, realize how much God has blessed our family this week and give thanks.  So far this week, God has blessed the kids with a week at my parents house.  They are having a great time fishing, riding tractors, playing outside….who knows what else!  Their trip to the grandparents has also been a blessing to my husband and I.  I have been able to finish some projects around the house and spend some quality time with my husband in the evenings.  The Lord has also blessed us by letting us get to know our neighbors better.  We got to go out for an adults only evening.  Very relaxing for us all!
