Menu Plan Monday – September 14, 2009
September 14, 2009 by Marci

Usually, I enjoy making menu’s for the week. Sunday night, I grab a few cookbooks, my planner, my notebook and pen and curl up on the couch. I check the planner to see what the week looks like and how much time I have to prepare meals each day. Then, I look through my books for something to catch my eye, writing down each dish and what book I found it in. After looking through the cookbooks, I check my list and choose 4 or 5 recipes for the week. Somtimes, I don’t find exactly what I want, but I find something close. So, I end up going to Allrecipies.com to search for something similar.
That’s usually the plan. This week, I struggled. Nothing really sounded appetizing or really fun to cook. I even asked my husband what he wanted to eat this week and he said he really didn’t care. No help there! So, I just wrote down some easy standby’s that hopefully will get us through the week. I did add the Chinese Ribs to the menu that I had planned a couple weeks ago but never got to. We are going to the apple orchard this week to pick apples, so I am hoping to make an apple crisp or strudel!!
Here’s the plan for this week (but I do reserve the right to change this at anytime):
Dinners
Chicken Parmesan
Chinese Ribs
Black Beans and Rice
BLT’s
Pizza Wheels and Wings
Kids Lunches
Ramen Noodles
Ham and Cheese Wraps
Pizza
Chicken and Noodle Soup (canned)
PB and J
What’s on your menu! Check out more ideas at Menu Plan Monday.
