Scatterbrained!!
November 17, 2009 by Marci
Yes, I am still here. I am a bit late blogging this week and didn’t post my usual Menu Plan Monday yesterday. The truth is that I have too many ideas to blog about and I am having a hard time narrowing it down!! We are also starting some fun Thanksgiving stuff in our homeschool lessons. Lots of good stuff, but it has left me a little scatterbrained. So, I thought I would share with you some great posts I have been reading that have inspired me in these past couple weeks.
Abbe at Organizing-Life and I are on the same page again! Just as I was working on a post about perfectionism, she posts this great article.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I am trying to teach our children (and myself) to be more grateful. Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers has a great idea to help our children focus on thankfulness.
Last week, my daughter asked what a workaholic was. His answer? “Your Mother!” Yikes! This post from Zen Habits couldn’t have some at a better time!
Just for fun, here is a great idea for turning a soda bottle into a bird feeder from The Homeschool Classroom. We are making one this week.
Check these out and I’ll be back tomorrow!

that is funny the comment from your daughter…or maybe it is a little bit of an eye-opener! You…a perfectionist?
how do you try to make the best impression on your children and teach them that it is okay to make mistakes?
I think fear of making a mistake is part of what is keeping my son from wanting to potty-train at 3 1/2 yrs old…I think some of my attitude has rubbed off on him and I am also thinking this is not so good. I am off to read your article recommendation about teaching your children about being greatful. oh, and thank you as always for the link.
