Busy Body Book Giveaway

March 8, 2010 by

I”m excited about the first giveaway in our Overcoming Busy celebration!!  Check back all week for the daily featured author and giveaway!!

One of the essential tools for overcoming busy is a good planner.  And, I am pleased to give you the opportunity to win one of the most complete, most well designed planners I have seen.  Busy Body Book planners and calendars feature a grid system that allows you to keep track of everyone in your family or various areas of your life.   As well as:

  • yearly planning sections
  • removable to-do/shopping lists
  • a section for notes
  • restaurant/take-out directory
  • space for important phone numbers

This is the same planner used by Mandi Ehman from Organizing Your Way.  On her blog she writes about Busy Body Books:

As for me, I decided that one BusyBodyBook wasn’t enough, and I bought a second one as well. In the first, I keep track of business and professional obligations, to-do lists and goals, with a column for each consulting project I’m working on as well as one for my editorial calendar for Organizing Your Way. In my second BusyBodyBook, I write down our weekly meal plan, homeschooling schedule, family obligations and household tasks. It’s a system that’s working very well so far!

Busy Body Book has graciously offered three giveaways to Overcoming Busy readers!  One lucky reader will win a Busy Body Book planner.  Another reader will win a Busy Body Book Wall Calendar and yet another reader will win a Busy Body magnetic Grid Pad!

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Leave a comment telling me how you would use your Busy Body Book planner, calendar or Grid Pad.
  2. Subscribe to Overcoming Busy via RSS. Leave me a separate comment telling me that you subscribed.  If you are already a subscriber, leave a separate comment telling me that you are.
  3. Spread the word. Tweet, facebook or blog about the giveaway.  Leave a comment telling about each one.

Entries will be accepted until 7 pm cst Saturday, March 13, 2010.  Winners will be announced next week!

Wow, I’m pretty attached to my Franklin Covey, but I think I would ditch it for this. That’s the one argument Franklin and I have: I can keep track of my own schedule but rub out of space for kids, meal plan, etc. That would be great for this.

You know I’m on this right! LOL. I so need a good planner. It just seems like every year I buy one and it just doesn’t have enough room in it! You know a family of 6 with different obligations! I would definitely use all of the planner for me, because I need something to keep me on track with home, church and blog. :)

Oh, I desperately need something different. The planner I got for this year is just terrible! I could organize my meals (which I’m terrible at remembering to do), bill paying, working out… this looks great!

Oh, and I’ve subscribed (via bloglines)

  19. Jessica says:

These planners look great! I would use it to help with nutritional and cleaning goals. I tend to ignore chores until they build up so much that I can’t cook in the kitchen! I would love to start menu planning, too. Thank you so much for the giveaway!

  20. Jessica says:

And I just tweeted this giveaway, too! (MyCatHenry)

  21. Betsy says:

The Busy Body Book seems like it would be excellent resource for bringing balance to my life as wife and homeschooling mom to three kids. I’ve really struggled to find the best scheduling system for our family, and this one looks like a winner. Thanks for the opportunity!

I am always looking for the “perfect” planner but I’m a compulsive list maker and no planner ever has enough room for all my lists. This one looks perfect!

I am super excited about this give away. Thanks!

  25. Marjorie says:

Since I’m trying to improve my time management skills this month, I’d use it for everything: appointments, menu planning, daily schedule, etc.

  26. Jessica Avery says:

These are great!! I could use them for so many things; one menu planning, I am now on a tight grocery budget thanks to Dave Ramsey! :) So this would help me to stay organized!!

  29. oh my is this ever up my alley! I’ve been in need of a planner that I can keep up with all the needs of our entire family that is also PORTABLE – we have a great system/message/list area in our kitchen, but this looks fabulous as a hands on take-along reference!

  30. I ‘subscribe’ via my blogger dashboard- does that count? ;)

  31. This Planner would help keep everyones Dates Organized I find myself Going somewhere right day wrong time or vice versa

  34. mikki roo says:

Definitely always looking for ways to simplify & organize my life! Two little boys, a hubby and another boy set to arrive in 5 weeks keep life complicated enough!

  35. mikki roo says:

I’m a follower via Google Reader.

  36. Emily says:

I would love to try this out to help keep my professional and family obligations straight! I am self-employed and contract with several different agencies, so things get a little hairy. Throw a disorganized husband and a preschool son into the mix, and chaos is fairly easy to come by!

  37. Emily says:

I already follow your blog. I LOVE your blog :-)

  38. Marianna says:

Our family schedule is chaos – I have a full time job and a part time job, my husband has 2 full time jobs – plus we have two sons who are in Scouts, baseball, after school activities, etc! It is nuts! Anythin that would help me keep all our dates/times in better order would be a blessing!

  39. kate says:

I think this looks like it would be more than helpful in organizing my life.
