Crown Bindery Giveaway – Day 3 of the Overcoming Busy Celebration!!
March 10, 2010 by Marci
Welcome to giveaway #3 in our Overcoming Busy celebration!! Have you enjoyed this week so far? The authors and giveaways have been awesome! Today’s giveaway is a great tool I discovered that you just have to know about!
—————————————————–
For the past couple years, I have used a three ring binder to hold by planner, my to-do lists, my meal plans, grocery lists, important papers, etc. It is a home management notebook of sorts. I am currently overhauling my whole system. So, I have been looking at all the various elements that make up a home management notebook. In my search for the perfect binder to hold whatever I come up with, I found Crown Bindery. I love these binders. They hold lots of stuff. They are versatile. They lay flat when you open them. They come in different sizes. AND, they are so cute!! Everything I am looking for!
Carla Smyrl, founder of Crown Bindery, made her first binder as a way to bind student artwork for a teacher’s gift. She soon found lots of uses for the binders and Crown Bindery was born. Here is how Carla uses her binder:
I use my Crown Binder as a catch all for the activities of life. In the first section is my calendar. Yes, I am a paper person at heart. There is, no doubt, a modern electronic device which could do a fine job. But I find comfort in viewing a full month on a single piece of paper. I print mine (loaded with birthdays) from our Outlook Express. My second section contains phone numbers and contact information. The third section: game and event calendars for the girls. Such has been my personal Crown Binder for the past four or five years. The best part is that I can flip the front cover completely over and throw my whole binder on the seat of the car, onto my desk or kitchen counter or sit with it at a meeting and have a place to write.
Here is the best part. You can have one of these awesome binders for your very own! Carla is giving one lucky Overcoming Busy reader the choice of one of her 9×12 or a 6×9 binders!! There are several ways to enter.

I would use it as a catch all and I’m a paper person at heart too.
I subscribe.
I would love a binder for my calving records. The idea of documenting cow nasty messy doctoring in a beautiful binder makes me smile.
I would love a pretty binder for my home management system. Right now, I’m just using a plain old notebook. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I have subscribed to you in google reader. Thanks!
Gorgeous binders! You’re (now) in my reader!
I love these! I have never heard of them but I have many uses I can think of but first… blog binder (if there is not such a thing, there is now)!
I tweeted on Twitter…
Oh and I have and always will be a subscriber!
I think I might have missed the deadline, darnit!! Anyway, I am trying to get more organized and something that looks that nice would help me get more organized!!!
Those are beautiful! I would use mine to store samples of my kids’ artwork. I may need four folders! One for each of them! But think of how special it would be as a keepsake.
I’m also a subscriber!
I love these!!! I would love to use these binders for my weekly plan/grocery list! Right now, I staple them together and carry them around. Yuck!
I am a subscriber via my blog!
I would definitely use this for my weekly planner!
I am a subscriber.
I would use it to contain the scraps of paper floating around my kitchen and desk with phone numbers, ‘to do’ lists and other important things scribbled on them.
I’ll be honest: My first binder will come to work with me, where it will keep all of my paperwork for my clients separated in a far prettier way than manilla folders
I am an avid follower of your blog!

I have been eyeing these but haven’t ordered one yet. Another great giveaway.
Would love to be able to consolidate the several different methods of paper organization I currently try to keep track of.
