Thyme For Design

I want to say thanks to all of you who have given such positive feedback on Overcoming Busy’s new look.  I really appreciate it!  I love the new look, too.  I have wanted to make some changes for months.  It just took me a while to finally figure out what I wanted, and then I couldn’t get the look that was in my head on to paper.  I am design challenged.  There is also the little detail of me not knowing code from pig latin.  Needless to say, I was a little stuck for a while.

Enter Gretchen and Trina from Thyme For Design.  I have know these wonderful girls for years and they were the only ones I trusted with my project and with my sanity.  Between Gretchen’s techie/coding expertise and Trina’s design/mind-reading capabilities, they made it all happen!  I kid you not.  I emailed them a rambling, nonsense email about color, vectors, natural something-or-another and magazine layout – fully expecting either a request for a little more detail or something far, far from where I was wanting to go.  Within a week, they sent me a header Trina designed that was almost identical to what was in my head!  I almost fell off my chair.  It was kind of scary.  I, then, sent Gretchen a wish list of features I wanted for the blog.  A few days after that, the entire layout was complete!  They made it so easy!

I am so pleased with the final design.  I am still learning how to use some of the features and tweaking it here and there.  Its exciting to think of where Overcoming Busy got started and where it’s going.  This new layout gives more opportunity for this community to grow and for me to share lots more ways to overcome busy.
