Overcoming Busy Tip of the Week

July 1, 2010 by

Put things away when you are done using them.

Profound, I know.  I promise if you and your family follow this one little rule, housekeeping will become a breeze and clutter will be kept to a minimum.

I repeat this often during the day! :)

  2. Pam says:

I know! I’m trying to get the hubs to be consistant with this. We also do a 5 minute pick up before we go to bed. Amazing what 2 people can get accomplished in 5 minutes!

  3. Lynn says:

If you figure out a way to get 2 3-year olds to do this consistantly I would love to know! LOL!

  4. Mandy says:

I so agree!! If only I could train my little ones, and my hubby, to apply this rule!! ;) Lol

  5. Gretchen says:

If I only my kids could manage this. My kitchen scissors have been missing for weeks.

I totally agree with this – it’s the most simple rule. Put away the sellotape on the right shelf – 10 second task. Hunt for it as we’re rushing out the door to a party – 10 minutes.
Just have to train husband now…

  7. I work on this all the time. I tell people, I am a not tidy person who needs things to be neat. So that means I basically create more work for myself all the time! I’d write more but I need to put my coffee cup in the dishwasher!! :)
