The Right Kitchen Tools For The Job & Menu Plan Monday
January 10, 2011 by Marci

Imagine trying to build a house with a toy hammer and a dull saw blade. Imagine being a dentist and trying to fill teeth with silly putty. Crazy isn’t it? Then why do so many of us spend so much time in the kitchen without the right tools?
No matter what the job, the right tools can make all the difference. They can make the difference in quality of product and quality of work. It doesn’t take a large investment in a few small things to make a huge difference in your kitchen. You’ll enjoy preparing your family’s food and they’ll enjoy eating it!
Here are just a few of my favorite basic kitchen tools. They are very simple, but they make the job easier.

Meanwhile, it is Monday. Time to post my meal plan for the week. Last week’s menu was so yummy! The soups made the house smell great and they really warmed us up as the winter winds howled outside.
This month’s Everyday Food magazine came in the mail last week. I am going to try a few recipes I found inside this week.
- Sweet and Sour Chicken (January/February Everyday Food)
- Parmesan Chicken with mushrooms and brussel sprouts (January/February Everyday Food)
- Black Bean Soup (January/February Everyday Food), cheese quesadillas
- Roasted Chicken with Couscous (January/February Everyday Food)
- Hamburgers, cole slaw and roasted potatoes
Do you have your menu planned for this week? It will make your life so much easier! Check out more inspiration at Menu Plan Monday at Organizing Junkie.
