Ten Reasons I Am Over Winter!!
April 19, 2011 by Marci
Normally, I keep things positive on Overcoming Busy. Negativity usually causes unnecessary busyness. However, I have had it with the 27th month of winter!! It is April 19th and it is 42 degrees and raining. It might snow tonight. We are on our Spring Break here and had lots of outdoor plans this week. On to plan B.
I have officially had it with the cold!!!! So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to share my top ten reasons I am over winter!
- I hate socks
- Temperatures below 65 make me grouchy. (Yes, I’ve been battling a bad mood since October)
- I love sunshine
- There is no better feeling than bare feet on soft, green grass
- Our house is running out of oxygen
- My kids need to run
- Outside is much more interesting than inside
- Picking veggies and herbs out of my garden make me happy
- I hate snow
- I’m just tired of being cold

I am so with you, Marci! Well except for #8 because I am a gardening failure (so far, I have big plans for the future). But #s 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 10 are completely me.
So with you! Had to haul out all the winter hats and mittens again this morning because it was so cold at the bus stop! My top 10 is about Canadians and spring. I can’t wait until I can be barefoot in my backyard, digging in my gardens — it seems so far away right now since there is a layer of frost on them!
I hear ya, girl! We’re expecting 2-4 inches of SNOW Wed. booo hoo hooooooo!
So, this would not be the time to tell you that it was 90 and sunny in Texas today. I really shouldn’t brag, though. Summer is coming and I will be wishing for anything cold.
Yes, I am so over winter! We had a good forecast for the rest of this week until I watched the news tonight.
