Living In The Moment Link Up – I Feel Busy!
September 1, 2011 by Marci
Can I be real with you a minute? I just feel busy!!! Too busy to stop and enjoy the moments. This getting back into the school routine is kicking my butt! Don’t get me wrong. Homeschooling is going great for my daughter. My son is settling in well at his school. We have a set schedule of school, piano and skating that ensures everyone gets where they need to be when they need to be there. From that standpoint everything looks fine. Except for the fact that I haven’t scheduled time for cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, exercise or my husband. Ugh….
Yesterday, our mom’s group at church met and we all were in the same boat. I guess it’s just that beginning of the school year/new schedule funk we are all going through. I don’t like it one bit! I feel like I am meeting myself coming and going and all I want to do is sleep, which I don’t have time for anymore either!!
However, I do see light at the end of the tunnel. This is a 3 day weekend and we have lots of family fun and relaxing planned. I am looking forward to catching up on some of the moments I missed this week and working on a schedule that will make me feel less busy. I’m sure I’ll blog about it soon when I get it ironed out.
What about you? Is the beginning of the school year schedule sending you for a loop, too? Do you feel too busy to enjoy those special moments?

Yes, I feel very busy. My daughter started swim team (which she loves and it’s SO good for her), but getting the hang of this schedule may take a few weeks. Add baseball to that for my son and I’m a little frazzled. All the more reason why living in the moment is so important!
This week, I was about to throw ice skating out the window. But, like your daughter, mine loves it and it is good for her. I guess it is up to me to find a schedule that works for us.
Oh, my goodness do I feel busy! This is the first year we’ve had extra classes outside the home that we do together and it’s amazing how that puts a crunch on your time. So far, it’s taken us 3 weeks of school time to do 1 wk and 1 day of what I had scheduled. This weekend will also be a time to change up the schedule for me too!

Isn’t it crazy what a couple extra events in the schedule will do?! Good luck on your new schedule!
SO BUSY!! Nice to know I’m not the only one who has yet to work in “time for cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, exercise or my husband”. I too will be trying to get that all in order this next week! Good luck to you!
