Christmas Priorities

Christmas star by lady_jess, on Pix-O-Sphere

Our Christmas with family starts this weekend. Today was grocery shopping day. Tomorrow is baking/cooking day. Saturday and Sunday is Christmas with my side of the family. Next week, we’ll do it again with my husband’s side. There are some special things I would like to do with the kids and for others during these next couple weeks.

Where to find the time??

What could I cut back on?

Where could I realign my priorities?

What can I put on the back burner?

Looks like I’ll be cutting down on my time here at Overcoming Busy until January. I’ll still post sporadically, but nothing planned. If I have something I really want you to know about, I’ll post it, facebook it or tweet it.  I just need sometime away from the computer and more time with my family right now.

Is there anything you need to realign to make the most of your Christmas season?

  1. We have tried to simplify the month as much as possible. We arn’t going many places and have done most shopping online. It is hard to enjoy the season when things get crazy :)

We try to keep things simple in December so we can concentrate on the real reason for the season, but it can be a challenge. I need to get better at keeping things simple the rest of the year, too!

Yes, I had to realign my priorities and how I spent my time this holiday season and really into the new year too. I have officially deleted my FB account. Hated to do it and I miss it but it simply had to be done. And honestly, I have so much more time on my hands! It isn’t always easy to realign but when we reap the benefits, we see the importance of it.

  3. Never a better reason to take a break than to spend more time with family =)
