Dad’s Potatoes

September 8, 2009 by

These potatoes are my dad’s specialty.  Everyone loves them.  They can be a meal in themselves and they are never the same twice.  I don’t have any measurements for you and I only have suggestions for ingredients.  That might freak some of you out.  But, trust me.  It’s hard to screw these up!  And if you do, they are quick and easy to make, so whip up another batch and try again!

  1. Cut up potatoes and onions
  2. Toss with olive oil and seasoned salt and pepper.
  3. Wrap in foil and throw on the grill a few minutes before adding your meat to the grill.
  4. Potatoes should be done when meat is finished cooking.  Test with a fork.

Potatoes and onions are the basic ingredients, but you can add carrots, green beans, sausage….whatever sounds good to you.  You can also try different seasonings.  We usually use Lawry’s seasoned salt, but sometimes we like to spice it up a bit more with a local ribeye seasoning mix.
